I was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. While in college studying Marine Biology at Texas A&M University at Galveston, I became open water certified and quickly fell into the world of diving. After graduation, I went to Indonesia to become a professional diver and after coming back to Chicago, I became a volunteer diver at Shedd Aquarium. I worked my way up from a volunteer and was able to participate in marine research through the Bahamas which is where I became an instructor. In January 2022, I moved from Chicago to Boston to be the Dive Safety Officer at the New England Aquarium where we are able to dive in the exhibits and dive in the local waters as well as diving in Eastport, Maine. I love checking out state capitol buildings, hiking, and playing inner tube water polo in my free time.
